Reservoir District Secondary is a school with a love of the arts. RDSC also offers many opportunities to develop interests in the performing arts, which culminates in our annual production. And by public request we host gala music, dance and drama production nights for all students studying the subjects Our school community is rich and vibrant and fine arts, music, drama and dance are celebrated features of the College life. An extensive range of arts electives, in addition to the compulsory core subject areas, enables broader and more in-depth studies in areas of special interest. Among the subjects available through the fine arts faculty are architectural design studies, ceramics, painting and drawing, illustration and photography. Outstanding work is showcased in the annual Art Show. And, by public request, we host gala music, dance and drama production nights for all students studying the subjects. At no cost to the student, instrumental music involving individual or small group lessons is available once a week through the visiting Instrumental Music teachers. Available instruments include: trumpet, piano, drums, flute, clarinet, tuba, saxophone, guitar, trombone and keyboard. Instruments are also available for hire. Drama and dance are offered as elective subjects in Years 9 – 12.
