An Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)
Approximately $400 in this current year is available for students up to the age of 16 years whose parents have a Health Care Card or Pension Card to assist in the costs associated with education. Please contact RDSC General Office for information.
Subject Material Charges
At RDSC we have kept costs to a minimum.
The subject Material Charges or Essential Education Items charges cover costs for materials (e.g. books) which parents are usually expected to provide. The Subject Material Charges are approximately $200 per year for years 7 to 10. In addition, students in Years 7-10 must purchase a Maths Text book and a Maths Homework book, both of which are available through the school. There are also charges for compulsory activities (e.g. swimming program, self defense, etc).
Parents with a Health Care Card or Pension Card may use the Education Maintenance Allowance to pay the Subject Material Charges.
